Team China will take on the Brisbane Bullets at the newly established Gold Coast Sports and Leisure Centre, Carrara on July 18 as part of a tour of Australia next month.
The Chinese national team will play Melbourne United at Melbourne Park on Sunday July 16 before taking on the Brisbane Bullets on the Gold Coast on July 18.
Brisbane Bullets General Manager Richard Clarke said the game against China will provide a great opportunity for the Bullets to strengthen existing ties with China basketball whilst showcasing the sport at its highest level on the Gold Coast once again.
The games will follow next month’s tour of China by the NBL All-Australian team which will play three matches against the Chinese national team starting in Beijing on July 5.
“We are very excited to be hosting China on the Gold Coast in the lead up to our regular season, we’re aware the Gold Coast carries a strong basketball culture and look forward to growing this interest on the Gold Coast,”
“It will be a great opportunity to engage the local community, schools, Gold Coast Business and Government to share what the NBL has to offer.”
The games will be streamed live on NBL TV in Australia and to tens of millions of fans in China via Sina and Yoku.
The Brisbane Bullets will play China at Carrara on Tuesday July 18 starting at 7pm. Tickets sales will be announced in the coming days.
The squads for the games will be announced in the coming weeks
