OFF-SEASON PLAYER TRACKER

The Mackay Meteors steamrolled the Brisbane Spartans on Saturday night, extending their unbeaten streak to 8 games through the first 7 rounds of the QBL season. Shaun Bruce continued his exceptional play with another triple-double, featuring a game high 13 assists and 11 rebounds to go along with 23 points.

Coach Cameron Tragardh praised the performance of his point guard, “He looks like he’s got an extra three or four seconds when he’s got the ball. He just looks like he’s got all the time in the world.”

It was an emphatic win from the Meteors and no doubt extra pleasing for Bruce who got the better of Bullets team-mates Adam Gibson and Tom Jervis.

It was also a solid weekend for Daniel Kickert who’s recent addition to the South West Pirates has spurned a reversal of form for the team, now team sailing in the right direction with three consecutive wins. Kickert chipped in 20 points in Friday nights clash with USC Rip City before a dominant 30 point performance against the Logan Thunder on Sunday.
