The Brisbane Bullets are pleased to announce a three-man leadership group for NBL23. The group will consist of Aron Baynes, Jason Cadee and Tanner Krebs.
The three players who were appointed to the leadership group by their peers, will share duties throughout the NBL23 season.
“Each player brings his own individuality and strengths to the team. It’s a great asset to have Aron, Jason and Tanner as part of our leadership group. These players represent the Bullets on and off the court in the right way,” Hostplus Head Coach James Duncan said.
JASON CADEE
Having captained the Brisbane Bullets in NBL22, Jason will continue in a leadership role this season, as the most experienced player in the squad.
With 342 NBL games, including the last four seasons with the Bullets and international experience with the Australian Boomers.
“Jason has a great feel for the organisation, the League, and the city of Brisbane,” Duncan said.
ARON BAYNES
Baynes comes to the Club with a wealth of experience including 522 NBA games and three Olympics representing Australia.
“Baynes stepping into this role with the sheer amount of experience he has both internationally and, in the NBA, has brought a level of accountability and toughness to the group,” Duncan said.
TANNER KREBS
In NBL23 Tanner enters his third season with the Bullets. Prior to his time in the NBL, Tanner played four years of college basketball at St Mary’s College California and represented Australia at the junior level on multiple occasions.
“Tanner is an up and coming player that we see as one of our culture guys within the group. He’s like a bridge. He can talk to the young guys and has a great rapport with the older guys in the team. It’s also great for Tanner’s growth learning from the likes of Aron and Jason,” Duncan added.
