The Brisbane Bullets Institute of Business and Sport, delivered in partnership with TAFE Queensland’s Academy of Sport (RTO 0275), offers an exclusive dual-diploma program that combines the strength of nationally recognised education with the elite sporting environment of a professional basketball club. This unique collaboration bridges the gap between the classroom and the court, giving students the opportunity to learn from industry experts, gain real-world experience, and build professional networks within the sports sector.

About the Program

This 12-month dual diploma program is delivered from the newly completed state-of-the-art Brisbane Bullets High Performance Centre in South Bank and offers students a comprehensive understanding of both high-performance basketball and the wider sports industry. Developed in collaboration with the Brisbane Bullets, the program provides a highly practical, hands-on learning experience, guided by industry professionals who live and breathe elite sport.

Students are fully immersed in the daily operations of a professional sporting organisation, gaining unprecedented access to the Bullets’ coaching staff, support teams, and facilities. From sport management and coaching to event coordination and athlete development, students experience the inner workings of the sports industry from the inside out.

Whether students are aiming to become coaches, sport administrators, development officers, or to build careers in the commercial side of sport, this program delivers the skills, real-world experience, and industry connections needed to launch a successful career—alongside two nationally recognised qualifications.

Location:
Brisbane Bullets High Performance Centre, South Bank, Brisbane
Study at the heart of a professional sporting organisation, with access to elite-level facilities and resources.

Commencement:
We are now taking registrations of interest for our next intake which commences in January 2026.

Duration:
The course is taught over 12 months and is full-time, consisting of two days face to face learning within the Bullets High Performance Centre, with an online virtual component.

Eligibility:
There are no formal entry requirements, making this course accessible to both aspiring and current sports professionals. It is ideal for school leavers, athletes, and working professionals seeking to upskill or transition into roles in sport coaching, high performance, or sports administration.

Please note: places are limited. A selection process applies for applicants who have completed Year 12 (or equivalent) and have at least two years of work or volunteer experience, preferably within the sporting industry.
