The Brisbane Bullets NBL22 season schedule has been announced.
Tip-off is set for Friday, 3 December, where the Bullets will start their NBL22 campaign on opening night against the Wildcats in Perth, followed by a clash with the 36ers in Adelaide on 5 December.
Brisbane’s home opener will be played on 19 December, when they take on the NBL’s newest outfit, the Tasmania JackJumpers.
Highlights of the schedule include a blockbuster Boxing Day game against the Cairns Taipans, in a battle of the Sunshine state. The Bullets will also begin 2022 with a bang, hosting the Perth Wildcats on New Years Day.
Brisbane Bullets CEO, Peter McLennan is thrilled to share the season schedule. “The much-anticipated schedule release is an exciting one for us all. The delayed start of the season was necessary to allow all Clubs the ability to play in front of fans and we’re elated to now have our season schedule.”
“I’m really excited for our valued members, fans and corporate partners to now have the season schedule to look forward to and I’m very thankful to everyone for their patience and continued support.”
“There’s so much to be excited about for NBL22 and so many reasons to get on board with your Brisbane Bullets. Our new Head Coach James Duncan’s first season in charge, Nathan Sobey’s coming off a stellar season and successful Olympics campaign, our first ever Next Star and our recruitment of the NBL’s tallest ever player. We also have a host of returning players including a very fit Lamar Paterson who are all extremely eager for our campaign to begin.”
“We are also very much looking forward to hosting two Blockbuster games at home on Boxing Day and New Year’s Day. It’s a great opportunity to spend the day with family and friends before coming out to Nissan Arena to cheer on your Bullets.”
With 28 regular season games, each team will play one another at least three times in a home and away format between December and April.
“We’re definitely excited to have the full season schedule and now we have the exact dates, we can build around that time frame,” Hostplus Head Coach James Duncan said.
“I know the guys are really excited to get things rolling and get out on the court in front of our fans.
“We also understand it’s going to take a lot of work and discipline to achieve the goals we’ve discussed for the NBL22 season.”
