The Brisbane Bullets are pleased to announce the addition of Stu Lash as Senior Basketball Advisor.
Lash will work closely with CEO Peter McLennan, General Manager of Basketball Sam Mackinnon and the coaching staff, playing an active role in key planning moving forward and giving greater access to the Club’s ownership group, in particular co-managing partners Jason Levien and Jake Silverstein.
Lash comes to the Bullets with extensive experience in the industry. Prior to a successful entrepreneurial career with a desire to give back to his local basketball community, Lash served as Director of Player Personnel and Basketball Development in the NBA with the Memphis Grizzlies.
Before his time with the Grizzlies, Lash served as Vice President of Basketball for Lagardere Unlimited and Director of Basketball and Business Affairs for Levien Sports Representation from 2006-2012. Prior to this, Lash spent five seasons with the Denver Nuggets where he worked with the front office and coaching staff, including serving as the scouting and video coordinator.
Brisbane Bullets CEO Peter McLennan welcomed Lash to the Club.
"Having someone of the calibre and experience of Stu join the Club is a significant coup, the role that Stu will play will compliment and elevate our basketball operations both locally and within the US and will provide valuable access to his extensive NBA network,” McLennan said.
“As an organisation, we need to keep evolving in all areas of the Club and adding someone like Stu will certainly give us an advantage by having someone on the ground to represent us throughout the US.”
Lash is looking forward to joining the Club. “I am extremely excited to be joining the Brisbane Bullets organisation. The passionate fan base along with the history and tradition of the team is what's made this opportunity so appealing to me,” Lash said.
I am looking forward to working with the talented and committed staff members to return the Bullets to their rightful place amongst the top clubs in the NBL.”
