The Brisbane Bullets have finalised their NBL22 playing roster with the signing of versatile, 201cm forward Robert Franks.
The 24-year-old had an outstanding college career at Washington State. In his senior season he was named in the All Pac 12 first team, averaging a conference best 21.6 points per game and finishing top ten in rebounds with 7.2 per game.
Franks has professional experience in the NBA with the Orlando Magic and was an integral part of their G League affiliate, Lakeland Magic’s championship team. In the playoffs he averaged 16 points at an efficient 58% from the field and 8 rebounds per game.
Bullets General Manager of Basketball Sam Mackinnon welcomes Robert to the Bullets. “Robert is someone we have watched the last few years and we are thrilled to sign him to our last roster spot.
“He ticks all the boxes to be a great 4 man in the NBL.”
Hostplus Brisbane Bullets Head Coach James Duncan said: “We’re super excited to have Robert on board. He’s a winner that understands the work and grind needed to be successful.
"His unique skill set and versatility provides everything we’ve been looking for at this position.
“I spoke to Robert yesterday, he’s looking forward to joining his teammates and meeting all the Bullet fans. He’s hungry and motivated to take the next step with us.”
Franks is an exciting young talent and has proven himself as an elite scorer at a high level. Known for his athleticism and consistent ability to score at a high clip, he will be a great asset for the Bullets in NBL22.
Robert joins Lamar Patterson, Isaiah Moss, Nathan Sobey, Jason Cadee, Anthony Drmic, Jack Salt, Deng Deng, Tyrrell Harrison, Tanner Krebs, Tamuri Wigness and development player Taane Samuel on the Bullets roster for NBL22.
