The Brisbane Bullets can today confirm the signing of BJ Johnson as the club’s newest import, for the remainder of season 2021.
Johnson has spent the last season as part of the Long Island Nets G League squad. His end of season average stats included: 18.4 points per game, 41.1% from the field, 84.3% from the free throw line and 5.6 rebounds.
Previously, Johnson has played at a number of clubs including the Lakeland Magic, Sacramento Kings and the Atlanta Hawks.
The 25-year-old will land in Australia in the next few days before fulfilling his mandatory two-week quarantine period.
General Manager of Basketball, Sam Mackinnon, is keen for Johnson to join the playing group.
“Due to quarantine we won’t see BJ play until May but we look forward to adding him to the group,” Mackinnon said.
“We believe his scoring ability and skill set will fit in well with the team.
“BJ’s versatility on the floor will be key and the fact that he recently played in the G League will help him make an immediate impact on the court as we strive to make the finals.”
