The Brisbane Bullets have ramped up their preparations for the 2020/21 Hungry Jack’s NBL season with a rigorous training camp on the Gold Coast.
The Bullets preseason will officially begin this week with two games against the Adelaide 36ers at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre on November 13 and at Titanium Security Arena on November 15.
The Club’s inaugural Gold Coast camp saw the team based in Broadbeach and Carrara from October 27 to October 29, where the players, coaches and staff participated in a number of different sessions and activities.
The playing group participated in a number of intense training and beach recovery sessions, team bonding activities and a launched a new initiative with the Coomera Anglican School as part of the camp.
Bullets General Manager for Basketball, Sam Mackinnon said the training camp helped revitalise the group ahead of the two pre-season games with the 36ers.
“On behalf of the entire Brisbane Bullets organisation, I want to thank the City of Gold Coast for their hospitality and support of the club’s inaugural camp and we look forward to returning in the future,” Mackinnon said.
“After practicing in Brisbane for the last few months, it was fantastic to relocate to the Gold Coast and increase the motivation and excitement levels amongst the group.
“It’s been a long and challenging offseason for everyone, but we feel the minicamp has refreshed the mindsets of the playing group and prepared us to play our upcoming games against the 36ers.
“We are very grateful to have the opportunity to play against a quality opposition and see how our new look roster performs under the guidance of Andrej’s style of play.”
