Queensland fans will get their first glimpse of the new look Brisbane Bullets when they play two preseason games against the South East Melbourne Phoenix on the Gold Coast this month.

The Bullets will play Phoenix at the Gold Coast Sports and Leisure Centre on Friday December 18 at 7:00pm AEST and on Sunday December 20 at 12:00pm AEST.

The games will be an ideal opportunity for the Bullets to step up their preparation for the 2020-21 Hungry Jack’s NBL Season which tips off  on January 16 with the Sunshine Stoush against the Cairns Taipans at Nissan Arena.

Fans will be able to watch new recruits Harry Froling, Anthony Drmic, Tamuri Wigness and Tanner Krebs. They will go toe-to-toe against a strong Phoenix squad boasting the likes of Mitch Creek and former Bullet Cam Gliddon.

Brisbane Bullets guard Jason Cadee said: “Playing these two games on the Gold Coast will be good for our preparations towards the new season. The Gold Coast community welcomed us with open arms when we had a two-day minicamp there in October and we are thrilled to be able to bring live NBL basketball back to the city again.

“It has been an interrupted preseason but basketball is now back and we can’t wait to hit the court against a quality NBL opponent.”

Tickets for both games will go on sale on Wednesday morning. Venue capacity for both games will be 2,000 so fans are encouraged to buy their tickets quickly.

The NBL’s COVID-safe protocols will be in place for both games.

The Bullets will tip off their 2020/21 Hungry Jack’s NBL Season against the Cairns Taipans in the Sunshine Stoush at Nissan Arena on Saturday January 16. Six of Brisbane’s first eight games will be played at Nissan Arena in a win for Bullets fans.
