Brisbane Bullets forward, DJ Mitchell will miss the remainder of the NBL24 season due to a hip injury that requires surgery.
DJ met with a surgeon and Club medical staff this week, where it was decided, surgery was the appropriate option when considering his long-term health.
In his second season with Brisbane, DJ averaged 5 ppg, 2.9rpg while shooting 51% from the field in NBL24. He had a season high 16 points and 5 assists against the Sydney Kings in Round 3.
Bullets CEO Malcolm Watts said, “DJ’s presence on court will be missed, however the Club will continue to support DJ through both his surgery and the rehabilitation process.”
