Brisbane Bullets guard Nathan Sobey has capped off another strong season for the Club, taking home the Leroy Loggins MVP Award for NBL23 in front of 200 guests at Cloudland on Thursday night.

Sobey was a shining light for the Bullets throughout the season playing all 28 games. He consistently brought high energy and displayed his talent and athleticism on both ends of the floor averaging 15.3 ppg, 4.7 apg and 3.9 rpg.

Our Members had their say and selected Tyler Johnson as the Member’s MVP for NBL23. Tyler was a definite fan favourite making a positive impact both on and off the court off. He was highly efficient for the Bullets averaging 15.8 ppg, 3.6 rpg, 2.8 apg and shot 48% from the field.

Tyler Johnson also received the vote of his fellow team members, being awarded Player’s Player. Tyler clearly gained the respect of his peers showcasing his work ethic, leadership and team first attitude throughout his first year in the NBL.

In his return to court, Aron Baynes was named Defensive Player of the Year. Aron averaged 11.7 ppg and 7.8rpg, while his presence in the paint on both ends of the floor and ability to defend the pick and roll was a great asset for the team.
