After splitting their Round 9 games with an exciting overtime win against Perth and a loss to Tasmania, the Brisbane Bullets head to Melbourne to face United for the first time in NBL23.
In great news for the Bullets, centre Aron Baynes will return to the lineup after missing the last three games. Brisbane will still be without Tanner Krebs, Tyrell Harrison and Kody Stattman due to injury.
With both teams looking to gain momentum and put together strong performances through the second half of the season, this will be an entertaining game.

KEY MATCH UP
NATHAN SOBEY VS RAYJON TUCKER
The athleticism and entertainment factor of Nathan Sobey and Melbourne’s import guard, Rayjon Tucker have been on display in NBL23.
Across Round 9 Sobey exploded for 24 points per game, including 28 in the Bullets win over the Wildcats. Tucker averaged 19.5ppg last round, including a season high 27 points in Melbourne’s loss to the Hawks.
Both teams will be looking to their guards to bring the energy on Saturday night!
ARON BAYNES VS ISAAC HUMPHRIES
Both big men sat out last round and will be looking to make a big impact inside for their respective teams. With a strong presence in the paint and the ability to stretch the floor, NBL fans will be excited to see how this match up plays out.
ON THE RECORD
Following their Round 9 game against the JackJumpers, where the visiting side ran away with the game in the final minutes, Head Coach Sam Mackinnon spoke about the resilience of the group.
“It’s been a tough nine days for everyone, new coach, it was our third game, I loved the way we played, everyone had a next man up mentality, everyone competed,” Mackinnon said.
“We’ve had two training sessions, and we had a walk through yesterday with a venue full of noise. We’re trying to manage how many bodies we have available; the guys are trying to adapt to what I want them to do, and in the 37 minutes tonight we were fantastic.
“I was wrapped, I said it after the game I was very proud of them, the scoreboard is what it is. I’ve said from day one this is a group that’s a really good bunch of human beings, I think right now you’re seeing everyone come together and do their best for the club and themselves.
