LAST GAME
The Bullets fell in Round 7 to the Cairns Taipans 90-82 in front of their home crowd at Nissan Arena. Despite great patches in the game a 3rd quarter flurry from the Taipans was the difference in the game. Despite the loss, DJ Mitchell had a breakout game for the Bullets with 21 points and nine rebounds.
The NZ Breakers have already played in Round 8, defeating the Taipans in Cairns last night 82-71. The win put the Breakers to 9-3 on the season and the team now sit second on the ladder.
KEY MATCH UP
TYLER JOHNSON vs BARRY BROWN JR
Tyler Johnson is finding his form for the Bullets. Last game he had an efficient 17 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. On the season the sharp shooter is hitting 51% from the field and 48% from beyond the arc. Brisbane will be looking to Tyler to bring his ample NBA experience into the game against the Breakers.
Barry Brown Jr is averaging 20ppg for the Breakers. The import guard has shown his ability to step up and put points on the board, particularly to close out a game.
It’ll be an exciting match up, with both guards having a range of offensive weapons and bringing high energy on both ends of the floor for their respective teams. Both Johnson and Brown Jr will be looking to make a big impact on Sunday.
