The NBL1 North Grand Finals are locked in for this weekend’s best-of-three Grand Final series and it will see Isaac White and the Mackay Meteors hosting Sam McDaniel and the Brisbane Capitals, coached by Bullets Assistant Greg Vanderjagt.

The Mackay Meteors have been the standout NBL1 North men's team all season finishing with a 15-2 record. In the first semi-final, White and the Meteors continued their strong run of form, with a 100-90 win over the Southern Districts Spartans locking in a Grand Final berth.

Despite solid performances from Southern District Spartans and Bullets trio Tyrell Harrison, Mitch Norton and Jarred Bairstow, the Meteors came out on top.

Harrison finished with 20 points, eight rebounds and five blocks, Bairstow added 16 points, four rebounds and four assists, while Mitch Norton 11 points and seven assists.

Isaac White will enter the Grand Final series on a high, after contributing 32 points, five rebounds and five assists in the victory. 

In the second semi-final, the Brisbane Capitals stormed into the NBL1 North Grand Final, dominating the Darwin Salties in the Top End with a 103-76 victory.

The Capitals were on top from the outset, opening up a seven-point lead during the first quarter.

That advantage for the Caps kept on growing throughout the evening despite being away from home with that lead out to 13 points in the second term, 17 in the third and as much as 29 in the fourth.

After claiming the NBL1 North MVP and Best Defensive Player McDaniel produced another standout all-round game for the Capitals with 18 points, 12 rebounds and six assists.
