Tyrell Harrison dominated in the NBL1 North over the weekend, on the eve of his selection into the Tall Blacks Olympic Qualifying squad.

Harrison had 30 points, 18 rebounds, two assists and two rebounds as his Southern District Spartans proved far too strong for the Logan Thunder, defeating them 106-64.

Fellow Brisbane Bullets teammate Mitch Norton also had a strong outing for the Spartans, finishing with 18 points, three rebounds, three assists and two steals in the match.

Further North, Isaac White starred as the Mackay Meteors defeated Townsville 102-87, remaining the lone undefeated team left in the NBL1 North. White had 26 points, 10 rebounds and seven assists, while shooting 50% from the field.

To round out the NBL1 North games, Sam McDaniel and the Brisbane Capitals defeated South West Metro 76-71 on Sunday. McDaniel had 16 points, five boards, three assists and three steals in the win.

In the NBL1 East, Kye Savage and the Centre of Excellence went two from two, defeating both the Newcastle Falcons and Inner West Bulls on the road at the weekend. Savage played an integral role in the CoE’s wins, with 11 points and 13 points respectively.

In the NZNBL Tohi Smith-Milner and the Wellington Saints were unable to continue their winning streak, defeated by Nelson Giants 105-96. Smith-Milner contributed 14 points, nine rebounds and four assists in the game.

In France, Deng Adel and his side Boulazec, begin their playoff run against Champagne Basket on 16 May and 19 May.
