KEY MATCH UP
JASON CADEE VS MITCH MCCARRON
Jason Cadee starred for the Bullets in their last match against the Phoenix on Monday night. Cadee finished with a season high 28 points at 58% from the field, adding four rebounds and three assists. The poise and experience Cadee brings to the Bullets especially with players coming in and out of the line up this season has been invaluable.
Similarly, Mitch McCarron is an important cog in the 36ers roster. Averaging 8.2ppg, 5.3rpg and 3.7rpg, McCarron is a key piece to the 36ers line-up consistently making effort plays on both ends of the floor. The two high IQ guards will go head-to-head in what is set to be an exciting match up.
ON THE RECORD
Hostplus Head Coach Greg Vanderjagt praised the fight of his side to bounce back after a big loss to the Sydney Kings last week, as the Bullets responded strongly in the two following games.
Three days after the tough loss to Sydney the Bullets had a much-improved performance against Melbourne followed by a hearty win over the Phoenix.
“I’m really proud of the group in terms of getting our butts kicked by Sydney five days ago,” Vanderjagt said.
“The guys have done a great job at responding.
“We played well against Melbourne United for three quarters and then we come in and get a win here tonight against what I think is a really good basketball team who is very talented and trying to make the playoffs.
“We did a really good job of defending the three-point line and sticking to the game plan, and what we wanted to achieve in that game.”
