The Brisbane Bullets have added one of Australia’s brightest young prospects, Kye Savage to the roster on a three-year deal.
The long-term, deal will see the 6’1 guard, secure a development player position for the first two years of the deal, before being elevated to a rostered position ahead of the 2026/27 season, via team option.
Currently at Australia’s Centre of Excellence, the Tasmania born 18-year-old has represented Australia at both the junior and senior levels on the world stage, including at the U/17 FIBA World Cup in 2022.
Earlier this year, Savage was also selected to the Australian Boomers FIBA Asia Cup qualifiers team that faced Korea and Indonesia, alongside fellow Bullets Rocco Zikarsky and Josh Bannan.
Hostplus Head Coach Justin Schueller is looking forward to reconnecting with Savage at the Bullets.
“Kye has shown to be one of the most exciting prospects in his age group,” Schueller said.
“I coached Kye in the U17 National Team, and during that time he was able to be a dynamic player in that environment. We see him having the potential do to the same at the NBL level.
“His ability at both ends of the floor and natural scoring talent is where we see him being able to provide an impact.
“He is an athlete that has a high level of potential and we look forward to him maximising this with us over the next three years.”
Kye Savage will join Josh Bannan, Tyrell Harrison, Sam McDaniel, Mitch Norton, Casey Prather, Isaac White, Rocco Zikarsky, Deng Adel and Tohi Smith-Milner on the Bullets roster for NBL25.
