The Brisbane Bullets have today welcomed Starlight Children’s Foundation as the Official Charity Partner for this season.
Starlight’s vision is a simple one, it is to make sure that every single child experiences a happy childhood, because happiness matters.
For over 30 years, Starlight have used play, social connection and creativity to support children and young people in some of the toughest times to positively change their healthcare experience.
Brisbane Bullets CEO, Peter McLennan, knows the Bullets can make a positive change and achieve plenty of good things in partnership with Starlight.
“Our players and coaching staff know the position they hold within the community and the positive change they can make to someone’s life,” he said.
“Unfortunately illness can strike anyone, including children, and the work that Starlight do is incredible.
“We look forward to working together throughout the season, to make a positive change wherever we can.”
Starlight Queensland Partnerships Manager, Tracey Tomlin, is looking forward to working with the Bullets.
“Being seriously ill shouldn’t mean missing out on the fun of childhood. Starlight’s vital services let sick kids simply be kids, replacing the pain, fear, and stress of serious illness with much needed fun, joy and laughter,” Tomlin said.
“This can only happen thanks to the support of amazing partners like the Brisbane Bullets and we are so excited to be partnering with them and grateful for their support.”
As part of the partnership, Bullets partners, members and fans will have the opportunity and be encouraged to make a donation to Starlight at different times throughout the season.
