White dominates NBL1 North earning POTW honours

Isaac White dominated the NBL1 North at the weekend, leading his team to three wins in Mackay’s Round 4 triple header. Across the Anzac Round games, White averaged 34 points, 8.3 rebounds and five assists per game, earning himself Player of the Week honours.

His most impressive stat line came on game three of the weekend against Southern Districts where he scored 40 points (67% from the field) to go with eight rebounds and eight assists.

Still in the NBL1 North, Nathan Sobey and the Ipswich Force defeated the Townsville Heat 99-94 in their only game of the round. Sobey finished with 13 points, six rebounds and eight assists in the game.

In the NBL1 South Sam McDaniel contributed 17 points, eight rebounds and four steals in the Hobart Chargers 76-73 victory over the Knox Raiders.

In Poland, DJ Mitchell had four points and four rebounds for the ladder leading Slask Wroclaw’s victory over Ostrow Wielkopolski.

Next up, Sam McDaniel and the Hobart Chargers are on court this Friday April 29 against Melbourne Tigers. White’s Mackay Meteors remain undefeated and will next face the South West Metro Pirates on Saturday April 29 at 8pm. Sobey and the Ipswich Force will also be on court next Saturday against Red City Roar.
