The Mackay Meteors produced a standout second half inspired by 34 points from Isaac White to stay in the NBL1 North's top four hunt beating the Townsville Heat 94-83 in Round 12 of the NBL1.
Ahead of his first NBL season at the Brisbane Bullets, Isaac White was again superb for Mackay with another 34 points, 10 rebounds, six assists and six steals on 11/21 shooting from the floor and 12/13 at the foul line.

Also in the North, Nathan Sobey was a shining light in his side’s loss to the Cairns Marlins. For the Ipswich Force, Sobey ended the afternoon with 31 points, six rebounds, six assists and three steals.
Next up for Sobey and the Force are the ladder leading Logan Thunder on Saturday 24 June.
Sam McDaniel had a strong weekend in the NBL1 South over the weekend. Despite two losses with the Hobart Chargers, Sam averaged 25 points, 9 rebounds, 6 assists and 2.5 steals per game.
The Hobart Chargers and McDaniel will be back on court looking to crack into the top eight on Friday 23 June against Nunawading.
Overseas, DJ Mitchell’s Slask Wroclaw fell just short of being crowned Polish League Champions as they were defeated 92-72 by King Szczecin in Game 6 of the Championship Series. In the deciding game of the best of seven series, DJ contributed 13 points, 3 assists and 2 blocks while shooting 57% from the field in his final game for Slask.
