White’s 34 points fires Meteors to NBL1 win

Isaac White had another standout performance for Mackay on Friday night leading his team to a 92-86 victory over the Darwin Salties to improve their record to 6-4 on the season.
White ended up with 34 points, nine rebounds, six assists and two steals including 12/14 at the free-throw line.
In NBL1 South, Sam McDaniel also put together a stunning performance with 31 points, eight rebounds and two assists on 11/20 shooting from the field, 4/5 from deep in Hobart’s 81-78 victory against the Keilor Thunder.

The Chargers were unable to back it up on Sunday, going down 83-78 to the Kilsyth Cobras. McDaniel finished with 15 points, eight assists and six rebounds.
The Ipswich Force suffered only their second loss of the season with Sunday's 101-90 loss to the Northside Wizards. Despite the loss Nathan Sobey put together a solid game with 19 points, five rebounds, three steals and two assists.
Overseas in the Polish Basketball League, DJ Mitchell contributed 14 points, 6 rebounds and 2 blocks in Slask Wroclaw’s win against Legia overnight.
Slask now lead Legia 2-0 in the best of five semi-final series. A win on Thursday 25 May will see his team advance to the championship series.
Sam McDaniel and the Hobart Chargers come up against Eltham on Friday 26 May. Both Nathan Sobey and Isaac White will be back on court this Saturday 27 May in the NBL1 North. Sobey and the Force are up against Logan who boast a number of past and present NBL players, while White and the Meteors face the Cairns Marlins.
