There’s no denying that NBL26 tested us all.
It’s important that we reflect honestly on the season and learn from it, so it becomes a chapter that strengthens us in the long run. In doing so, we must acknowledge those who stood by us and give credit where it is due.
First and foremost, thank you to our members and fans. Through thick and thin, year after year, your support never wavers. This season has been challenging for everyone, yet you continued to show up. That loyalty does not go unnoticed by our players, coaches, or staff.
This city deserves a basketball team that represents it at the highest level. We are committed to doing the work required to make that a reality.
While the results fell short of expectations, it was never for lack of effort and our players deserve recognition for the professionalism, resilience, and character they displayed every day. With their backs against the wall, they arrived at the High Performance Centre determined to improve, united in purpose, and committed to one another. That spirit should not be underestimated.
I also want to acknowledge our coaches and the High Performance Unit. In difficult circumstances, they stepped up and worked tirelessly to give our team the best chance to compete.
To our partners and sponsors, thank you for your continued trust and support. Your backing enables us to operate as an organisation, and the relationships we’ve built within the Brisbane community are a source of genuine pride for our club.
While this season presented challenges on the court, our growth off the court has not ceased. We are laying strong foundations for sustainable growth and long-term success.
Our focus now turns to NBL27, beginning with the appointment of a Head Coach that we can build around to lead us into the next phase.
As with any sporting organisation, change is part of the journey. I encourage you to embrace it and stick with us. We will return to where we belong - I have no doubt about that.
Thank you again for standing with us. It’s time to move forward together.
Go Bullets.
