The Brisbane Bullets are pleased to announce the signing of Kody Stattmann for NBL23 on a one-year deal.
The 21-year-old Queensland product has spent the last four years at the University of Virginia, where he won a National Championship in his freshman year.
Stattmann, a 6-7 guard, has represented Australia on multiple occasions including the FIBA U/17 World Cup, U/17 Oceania Championships, U/18 Asia Cup and most recently the FIBA U/19 World Cup, where he averaged 10.3 ppg and 3rpg.
General Manager of Basketball, Sam Mackinnon looks forward to welcoming Stattmann to the Bullets for NBL23.
“Kody has spent the last four years at UVA readying himself for his professional career and we are thrilled to have him join the Bullets,” Mackinnon said.
“His size and length, along with his shooting ability are great assets that we can utilise in NBL23.”
Hostplus Head Coach James Duncan is excited for Stattmann to join the Bullets squad for the upcoming NBL23 season.
“Kody is a young, talented Australian that we’re excited about developing. He is hungry to get to work and start his new chapter with the Brisbane Bullets.”
Kody Stattmann joins Nathan Sobey, Jason Cadee and Tyrell Harrison on the Bullets roster for the 2022-23 season, with further player announcements to come.
