The Brisbane Bullets host the New Zealand Breakers at Nissan Arena this afternoon at the family-friendly time of 4:30pm with the game to go ahead as scheduled.
Off the back of news yesterday that a Brisbane man had contracted COVID, the Bullets and Nissan Arena will today be taking extra precautions in and around the venue to ensure the safety of all patrons attending the game.
There will be additional hand-sanitising stations on entry to all areas including main entry points, food and beverage outlets and all toilet facilities.
After the release of information yesterday by Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk, if you have visited any of the announced venues and have any flu-like symptoms, the Bullets ask that you go to have a COVID test and do not attend the game. A list of those venue can be found here.
CEO Peter McLennan is encouraging people to attend the game and to enjoy themselves whilst ensuring they follow the guidelines handed down by the Government.
“We are in constant dialogue with Government representatives and Nissan Arena to provide a safe environment for our corporate partners, members and fans,” he said.
“We ask that all patrons exercise safe health practices so that everyone can enjoy what is set to be a great game of basketball.”
The Bullets are asking a number of things of all patrons attending the game to ensure the safety of everyone who is attending the event. They include:
- Follow Queensland Government regulations. All the latest information is available here.
- Whilst facemasks aren’t mandatory, it is recommended that you wear a mask when on public transport and when social-distancing can’t be exercised.
- Patrons are asked to maintain social-distancing wherever possible on game day. Be respectful to the people around you.
- Practice good hygiene with washing of hands thoroughly and the use of hand sanitiser regularly.
- If you are experiencing flu-like symptoms, please follow Government recommendations and do not attend the game.
Tickets are still available to today’s game and are available here.
