The Brisbane Bullets are proud to introduce its Indigenous Round uniform for the 2022/23 season.
Indigenous Round is a highlight of every NBL season, showcasing indigenous art and culture from around the country.
This season, the Bullets will proudly wear Migunjin on the front of the jersey. Brisbane’s original name was ‘Migunjin’ where ‘Meegun’ means ‘the shape of a spike’ and refers to the ‘V’ shape of this bend in the Brisbane River.
THE ARTIST – NARELLE URQUHART

Narelle is a Wiradjuri woman with connections into the Bundjalung Nation of the Northern Rivers. She is an accomplished artist who has been painting since the age of 17, her pieces show the beauty that lies deep within her culture both past and present.
Her art has been highly recognised with two government illustrations, launched in Parliament House Canberra, children's book illustrator, numerous awards, short film for ABC Open, as well as running a successful art business. Narelle has lived on the Gold Coast and Northern Rivers for 22 years, has four children, two grandchildren and loves to be involved in her community
THE ARTWORK

This artwork depicts the eternal connection to the land, water, and sky that our people have held for thousands of years. The Brisbane Bullets are planted into the rich sites of Mt Gravatt/Nathan.
Throughout the artwork you see the rivers, mountains, and traditional sites, we also recognise the significance of the echidna to the region. Our Torres Strait Islander brothers and sisters are acknowledged through their ghost art of the fish and turtle.
The Brisbane Bullets strive to set down deep roots, and to have a strong vision for a bright future, bearing good fruit both within the game and withing the First Nations community.
The Bullets will proudly wear this jersey for their Indigenous Round Home Game when they take on the NZ Breakers on 21 December at Nissan Arena.
Jerseys will be available to purchase from the BSTORE on Wednesday 30th November.
