The Brisbane Bullets have signed Josh Kunen as a development player for the NBL25 season, with a team option in NBL26.
The 6’8 forward has spent the past five seasons at the University of San Francisco, recently breaking the record of most wins in USF program history by a single player.
Kunen attended the Australian Centre of Excellence prior to college and also represented Australia at the junior level, including at the U19 FIBA World Cup in 2019.
Having watched the development of Kunen for a number of years, Hostplus Head Coach Justin Schueller believes he has a huge upside and displays attributes that will positively add to the Bullets squad.
‘Josh is an athlete we have known for many years and his potential is what excites us most about this signing,” Schueller said.
“He has great daily habits, high IQ and is a versatile player with his ability to play off the bounce and stretch the floor”.
“We look forward to him coming into our group and impacting winning every day, while helping him achieve his own goals”.
Josh Kunen joins Josh Bannan, Tyrell Harrison, Sam McDaniel, Mitch Norton, Casey Prather, Isaac White, Rocco Zikarsky, Deng Adel, Tohi Smith-Milner, Keandre Cook and Development Player Kye Savage on the Brisbane Bullets NBL25 squad.
