Bullets add Rasmus Bach as Nominated Replacement Player

The Brisbane Bullets are pleased to announce the signing of guard Rasmus Bach as a nominated replacement player ahead of the NBL23 season.

As the nominated replacement player Rasmus has the ability to come in and out of the roster and is set to provide cover if a player is unwell or injured throughout the season.

The 6’4 guard had a productive season with the Logan Thunder in the NBL1 this year and showed in the finals he’s capable of playing the point guard position. He averaged 15.6ppg, 5.9rpg, 3.8apg and shot 41.7% from the field.

The Danish international, grew up in Australia playing his junior basketball at Logan. His family then moved to the US where he attended high school in Texas and played his NCAA basketball for Fort Lewis College in Colorado, averaging 14.5ppg over his career before graduating in 2018.

Rasmus played the last two seasons with the NZ Breakers and made solid contributions on both the offensive and defensive ends, averaging 15 minutes and 4.8ppg in the NBL21 season.

General Manager of Basketball Sam Mackinnon has been happy with what he’s seen from Rasmus in the off season.

“He’s worked out all off season with the Club, where he’s shown his ability to compete day in day out. He’s also a quality human being who and adds depth to our roster,” Mackinnon said.

Host Plus Head Coach, James Duncan believe Rasmus is a great addition to the squad.

“Rasmus brings NBL experience and versatility to our group. His has good character, he’s about the team, he’s about competing and that fits in to what we’re building here in Brisbane. We’re excited to have him on board for NBL23,” Duncan said.

Rasmus is excited to be a part of the Bullets NBL23 campaign.

“Representing and playing for the Bullets is a dream come true. This is the team I grew up watching in the mid 2000’s. I’m beyond grateful for the opportunity.” Rasmus added.

Rasmus joins joins Aron Baynes, Tyler Johnson, Nathan Sobey, Devondrick Walker, Jason Cadee, Tyrrell Harrison, Tanner Krebs, DJ Mitchell, Harry Froling, Kody Stattmann, Gorjok Gak and development player Lual Diing on the Brisbane Bullets 2022/23 roster.
