Bullets are “very talented and deep”

Brisbane star Lamar Patterson has fired a warning to the Bullets’ NBL rivals, saying the club’s depth of talent will be tough to stop.
The loaded Brisbane roster was showcased in Saturday’s big win over the South East Melbourne Phoenix as all five starters scored in double digits including Patterson, Nathan Sobey, Robert Franks, Anthony Drmic and Tyrell Harrison.
Add in strong bench contributions from the likes of Jason Cadee, Tanner Krebs and Chuanxing Liu, and the Phoenix had no answers for James Duncan’s squad.
According to Patterson, opposition defences will be having similar issues trying to stop the Bullets’ attack as the season progresses.
“From day one I knew this team is super talented,” Patterson said.
“It is going to be tough to stop us when we are going like that, and everyone is engaged and going. Who do you guard, who do you focus on?
“In order for us to win games and make it to the finals, we are going to need an output like that from everyone. We are a very talented and deep team.”
The win improved Brisbane’s record to 3-3, as the team as alternated wins and losses since the start of the campaign.
With another home game scheduled for this Friday night against the Sydney Kings, Patterson says starting a winning streak is crucial.
“It was a good win, it is always good to win at home and we need to build from it,” he said.
“We have a win-loss pattern right now, so we need to try to string a couple of Ws in a row, good thing we have another game to protect home court. We took a step in the right direction.”
