The Brisbane Bullets have officially locked in their final NBL26 roster spot, announcing the signing of Australian forward Jack Purchase for a one-year contract.
Purchase has been training with the team throughout the preseason and has impressed the coaching staff with his work ethic, versatility and readiness to step into the squad.
A 203cm forward with NBL experience and a strong outside shot, Purchase adds valuable frontcourt depth and brings a high basketball IQ to the group. He previously played for Melbourne United, Perth Wildcats and Adelaide 36ers and has competed extensively in the NBL1.
Head Coach Stu Lash said Purchase has earned his spot through consistent effort and a team-first approach.
“Jack’s been training with the guys in recent weeks and hasn’t missed a beat,” said Lash.
“He’s a smart, skilled player who understands the game and makes the right plays.
“His ability to stretch the floor and play multiple positions will be important as we head into the season. We’re excited to officially welcome him to the group.”
The 30-year-old, who came through the University of Hawaii, said he’s thrilled to make Brisbane home and continue competing at the highest level.
“I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunity to be part of the Bullets roster,” said Purchase.
“The time I have spent training at the Brisbane Bullets high-performance centre has been great, and I’ve loved being around the culture and the energy.
“I’ll do whatever’s needed to help the team win and I can’t wait to get out there in front of the fans.”
Purchase joins a strong Brisbane lineup led by the Club’s returning stars Casey Prather, Tyrell Harrison, Sam McDaniel, Mitch Norton and Tohi Smith-Milner.
With Purchase signed, the Bullets’ NBL26 roster is now complete.
“We’re really thrilled with the group we’ve put together,” said Lash.
“There’s a strong mix of veteran leadership, high-level talent, and emerging young players. We’ve got depth, we’ve got toughness, and we’ve got guys who want to compete every single night.
“Now it’s about continuing to build chemistry and sharpening things before Round 1. The pieces are in place – it’s time to go to work.”
