The Brisbane Bullets have secured American point guard Jaylen Adams for NBL26, one of the most high-profile signings in the club's recent history.
A proven game-changer, Adams brings MVP pedigree, elite playmaking, and scoring power to the Bullets backcourt, further enhancing the team’s outlook for the upcoming season under new Head Coach Stu Lash.
Adams was named the NBL MVP in 2022 while leading the Sydney Kings to a Championship, averaging 20.1 points, 5.1 assists, 4.2 rebounds, and shooting a blistering 43.8% from three.
Known for his explosive first step, high basketball IQ and ability to take over games late, Adams adds instant star power to the Bullets roster.
“I’ve seen what Brisbane is building and I want to be part of something special,” Adams said.
“This is a team and city ready to take the next step, and I’m coming in hungry to lead from the front, compete every night, and chase another title.”
Adams has carved out a reputation as one of the most talented guards in the NBL, last season scoring an impressive 43 points against the 36ers.
He also brings with him a wealth of international and NBA experience, including stints with the Atlanta Hawks, Milwaukee Bucks, and Portland Trail Blazers.
Bullets Head Coach Stu Lash believes Adams is going to create huge impact for the Bullets NBL26 campaign.
“Jaylen is a proven winner and one of the best guards to have played in this league,” Lash said.
“His presence will instantly elevate this group - he’s a leader, a competitor, and will make everyone around him better.
“Bullets fans should be fired up! This is a statement signing that shows a strong commitment from ownership and a clear directive from Malcom Watts,” he said.
The Bullets’ roster is shaping up to be one of the strongest yet, with the patient and strategic approach starting to pay dividends.
“We’ve been building deliberately and with purpose, and it’s exciting to finally unveil some of the pieces we’ve been working on,” Head Coach Stu Lash said.
“There’s been a lot happening behind the scenes, and we can’t wait to see it all come together, and most importantly, share it with our fans.”
