The Brisbane Bullets will host the Perth Wildcats for two pre-season games this week, in Brisbane.
With the ever-changing landscape due to COVID-19 restrictions, the Wildcats are unable to travel to Melbourne and will instead head to Brisbane for two games, this Wednesday and Friday.
The two matches will see both Bullets imports Vic Law and Orlando Johnson on the court for the first time in what is extremely valuable match practice.
GM of Basketball Sam Mackinnon is happy that matches have been able to be scheduled ahead of the season proper commencing next Saturday, 16 January.
“Post-Christmas, it’s been great to have Vic (Law) and Orlando (Johnson) with the team and get in a week’s training to understand the philosophy and style of play of the Bullets,” Mackinnon said.
“The group have been training well but there is no substitute for game time and as a team we’re looking forward to having a good hit-out this week.
“We’re thankful that we’ve been able to organise something and appreciate that Perth are coming across to our home.”
Unfortunately for members and fans, the matches will be closed to the public due to NBL COVID-19 rules and regulations. The club will provide score updates through social media during each of the games.
