Bullets Welcome Back Lamar Patterson

The Brisbane Bullets are delighted to welcome back Lamar Patterson on a one-year contract for the 2021/22 Hungry Jack’s NBL Season.

Patterson first joined the Bullets in 2018 and quickly became a fan favourite amongst the Brisbane community. The 29-year-old made the All-NBL First Team in 2019 and 2020 and has established himself as one of the league’s premier imports.

The Pennsylvania native played 17 games for the Bullets last season after a short stint with the New Zealand Breakers. Patterson has averaged 17.8 points, 5.6 rebounds and 3.8 assists in his NBL career.

Prior to playing in the NBL, Patterson played for the NBA’s Atlanta Hawks from 2015-2017 while also playing professionally across the globe.   

Patterson is currently playing for the Southern District Spartans in NBL1 North, averaging 19.3 points, 6.8 rebounds and 5.8 assists per game.

“Very few players have a unique set of skills like Lamar. His understanding of the game and his versatility to play different positions will be a huge asset for us this season. Also, his familiarity with the current playing group keeps our foundation strong.

“Lamar made it clear he wanted to be in Brisbane. He decided to stay in Australia this offseason to prepare himself for NBL22. He is motivated and Bullets fans should be excited about the impact he’ll bring.”

Patterson said: “I’m so excited to be returning to the Bullets for the upcoming season.

“Brisbane has been such a welcoming community and it is a place I now consider a home for me. I love representing the Bullets and it is a team that has constantly gotten the best out of me during my career.

“I believe we are building a strong roster for the season and I can’t wait to hit the court with the guys and get to work.”

Patterson joins Isaiah Moss, Deng Deng, Jack Salt, Jason Cadee, Anthony Drmic, Tyrell Harrison, Tanner Krebs, Nathan Sobey and Tamuri Wigness on Brisbane’s roster for the 2021/22 Hungry Jack’s NBL season.
