The Brisbane Bullets have announced Greg Vanderjagt will continue as Head Coach for the remainder of the NBL23 season.
Vanderjagt has been an Assistant Coach at the Brisbane Bullets since the 2020/21 NBL season and was named interim Head Coach earlier this month.
Brisbane Bullets CEO Peter McLennan said, “We’ve been impressed with the way Greg has stepped up and taken on the challenge with professionalism and tenacity over what has been an undeniably challenging week.”
“We’re excited to see where he can take the group for the remainder of the season and the Club is right behind him,” McLennan added.
Vanderjagt is looking forward to continuing in the role following his stint in the interim.
“I’m excited about the opportunity and for the challenges ahead,” Vanderjagt said.
“I feel very honoured and privileged for the Club to put me in this position for the rest of the NBL23 season.”
“I’m going to do everything I can to empower this group. It’s my responsibility to lead this group and help them be successful.”
Greg is a former professional basketball player with over a decade of experience in the NBL. Greg translated his playing experience into his coaching with being an Assistant Coach with the Townsville Crocodiles (NBL) and with the under 17 Australian Junior National Team before joining the Brisbane Bullets staff for the 2020/21 NBL Season as an Assistant Coach.
The Bullets next game is against the Perth Wildcats on 27 December at Nissan Arena.
