Nathan Sobey commits to Bullets on multi-year deal

The Brisbane Bullets are thrilled to announce Nathan Sobey has re-signed on a multi- year deal.
Known for his athleticism and tenacity on both ends of the floor, the dynamic guard will enter his fourth season with the Bullets in NBL23.
The 31-year-old began NBL22 after an exciting off-season, winning a bronze medal with the Boomers at the Tokyo Olympics. He was off to a flying start, averaging 16.1 points, 3.6 assists and 4.2 rebounds, however missed the second half of the season due to injury. Despite missing games, Sobey remained a strong presence in the Bullets locker room.
After three years at the Club, Sobey is excited to continue his career with the Bullets.
“I’m excited to be back on board for the next few years. My family and I love it up here and Brisbane is home for us,” Sobey said.
“I stick by what I have been saying about wanting to get the Bullets back into the playoffs and will do whatever it takes for that to happen.”
“I’m looking forward to a break and getting the body right before a big next season!”
Signing Nathan Sobey was a key priority and focus for the Club.
“We always wanted Nathan to continue his career with the Bullets and we’re excited that he wants to be front and centre of what we’re building here,” General Manager of Basketball, Sam Mackinnon said.
“As our marquee player, he brings passion and excitement to the game and will be a key recruiting tool for the club this off season.”
Head Coach, James Duncan said “I’m excited to have Sobey, one of the top players in the NBL re-sign with us. For us, it was a high priority.”
“His skill and competitiveness was highly missed in the latter part of our season.”
“He’s such a huge piece of what we’re doing here in Brisbane and with Nathan’s signing our rebuild has officially started.”
The Bullets now have a clear focus on compiling a highly competitive roster for the NBL23 Season. Sobey joins Jason Cadee and Tyrell Harrison who have already signed for next season.
