Nathan Sobey will miss the remainder of the NBL22 season due to injury.
Although previously hopeful that he could make a return at some point this season, Sobey has missed multiple games due to an ongoing knee injury and will not return to the court in the remaining games.
While on the court the energetic guard was a shining light for the Bullets, averaging 16.1ppg, 4.1 rpg and 3.4apg across 12 games.
General Manager of Basketball, Sam Mackinnon announced that Sobey, along with centre Tyrell Harrison would miss the rest of the NBL22 season.
“First and foremost, a player’s health is always paramount and we want to make sure Sobey has a long and successful career at the Bullets in the future.
“Nathan will work closely with our medical team to ensure he is 100% before returning to the court.”
Hostplus Head Coach James Duncan said, “Having a player of Sobey’s calibre sidelined has been challenging for us and we’ve missed him on the court.”
“While he hasn’t been out there, he has been determined to contribute to the team and has had a strong presence in the locker room.
“Sobey’s health is number one and we’ll do everything we can to get him back on the court for NBL23.”
