The Brisbane Bullets, in consultation with the NBL, can confirm that our New Year’s Day game against the Perth Wildcats, has been postponed in line with COVID health and safety protocols and respective state government close contact requirements.
Following the postponement of our Boxing Day clash with Cairns, the NBL announced the Bullets next fixture against the Perth Wildcats (January 1) at Nissan Arena, would also be postponed.
The health and safety of the players, coaches, clubs, staff and fans is our number one priority when considering these matters.
We will continue to follow the advice of governments and health authorities.
The Bullets team, who are all double vaccinated, are currently undertaking isolation as per the QLD Health protocols, with their symptoms being monitored each day.
Regular testing of all players and staff will continue, while further testing will be carried out on individuals impacted or those deemed close contacts.
Brisbane Bullets CEO Peter McLennan said, “While it’s disappointing to have had to postpone these games, our priority at the moment is to ensure our players are well supported through the period of isolation and that their health and wellbeing is taken care of.”
“We want to thank our Members and fans for their continued support during this time and look forward to getting back in front of our home fans soon.”
We are working with the NBL to confirm a new date and the schedule will be updated with in the coming days.
The Club will provide our Members and fans with updates as they are available.
Patrons who have purchased tickets to Saturday’s game via Ticketek will be contacted directly.
