Sobey leads Force in NBL1 road double

The battle of Bullets teammates Isaac White and Nathan Sobey was entertaining, in an exciting overtime battle between the Mackay Meteors and Ipswich Force in Round 11 of the NBL1 North.
Ipswich started the game on fire, on the back of Friday night's 15-point road win against the Rockhampton Rockets where Sobey led the Force with 27 points and seven assists.

The Force raced to a 15-point lead on the back of a 38-point opening period. The lead grew to 21 points in the second quarter, and they were still leading 67-48 on the back of a strong offensive performance in that first half.
However, Mackay worked back into the contest with 27 points to 19 in the third Meteors kept the momentum going in the fourth term and even managed to lead by as much as seven points on the back of an 11-0 run.
Ipswich were able to claw the game back to level and send the game into overtime with the scores levelled at 103-103. However, it was the Force who were able to take the game with a 16-11 overtime run.
Nathan Sobey finished with 26 points, seven rebounds, seven assists, three steals and two blocks for Ipswich on 9/14 shooting with 6/8 from the foul line.
For Mackay, Isaac White continued his scintillating form this season for Mackay with another 33 points, 15 assists, five rebounds and two steals.

Overseas, DJ Mitchell and Slask Wroclaw won their last two Polish Basketball League Championship games in the best of seven series. DJ Mitchell had 7 points in the game.
After losing their first three games of the series, Slask they now trail 3-2 with the next match up set for Friday 16 June at 4am AEST.
