A new pathway into Basketball coaching is now available for school students.
For the first time, Brisbane Bullets and TAFE Queensland (RTO 0275) are offering a mid-year intake for the TAFE at School Certificate II in Sport Coaching (SIS20321) giving school students the opportunity to start their journey in sport sooner.
Commencing in July (Term 3), this program is delivered one day per week, replacing an ordinary day at school, at South Bank Campus or Northside Indoor Sports Centre, combining practical coaching experience with classroom learning in a basketball specific environment.
In the course, students will develop real coaching skills, gain exposure to Brisbane Bullets through aligned content, and hear directly from industry professionals through guest speaker sessions, all while earning valuable QCE credits through the completion of a Certificate II qualification.
The course runs weekly from 9am - 3pm and is delivered on site by qualified TAFE Queensland educators. It is highly practical in nature, aligned to our philosophy of hands-on learning.
Why consider this program:
· Commence in Term 3, 2026 at South Bank Campus or Northside Indoor SportsCentre
· Delivered one day per week across two school terms
· Complete a nationally recognised qualification in just 6 months
· VETiS funding may be available for eligible students
· Pathway into Certificate III and diploma-level sport programs
