The Brisbane Bullets are excited to announce that Tyrell Harrison has re-signed with the Club on a two-year deal.
The New Zealand International is leading into his seventh season with the Bullets, making him the longest serving player on the roster. While his NBL23 campaign was shortened due to injury, when Tyrell was on the court, he was highly efficient averaging 5ppg, 4.4rpg and shooting 82% from the field. His ability to play above the rim and presence on defence are a key asset for the Bullets roster.
Tyrell has been continuing to work on his game this off-season, recently representing New Zealand in the World Cup Qualifiers where they defeated Lebanon and Saudi Arabia.
Hostplus Head Coach Justin Schueller is pleased to have Tyrell re-sign.
“This is a great signing for our Club now and into the future,” Schueller said
“Tyrell has shown that he is one of the most talented young big men in the league and for him to lock back in as we move forward in the new direction with the Club.”
“His shot changing ability at the rim paired with his efficient ability to score are keys for us moving forward.”
“It’s an exciting one-two punch with he and Baynsey together,” Schueller added.
Tyrell is thrilled to continue his NBL career in Brisbane.
“It means everything to me staying in Brissy. I want to see this Club succeed and win a chip. That’s my personal goal for this season,” Harrison said.
“Talking to Justin, the past couple of weeks talking about our vision and goals for this team is exciting and will be challenging but the players he has in mind I have no doubt that we’ll be ready for those challenges.
“I can’t wait to see who else the rest of the roster we put together for NBL24 and can’t wait to meet everyone,” Harrison added.
Tyrell joins Aron Baynes, Nathan Sobey and DJ Mitchell on the Brisbane Bullets 2023/24 roster.
