After a strong rookie NBL season, Josh Bannan will have the chance to take another step forward in his basketball career, named in the LA Clippers Summer League roster for 2024.
The 23-year-old averaged 11.9 points, 7.2 rebounds and 1.5 assists in 19 games for Brisbane across NBL24, and now gets his chance to make his mark in the US.
Following the NBL season, Josh has spent the last couple of months in the US, where he did pre-draft workouts with several NBA teams.
“Playing in the NBA has been a dream of mine all of my life, so I feel very grateful to have this opportunity at Summer League,” Bannan said.
“I feel like in my pre-draft workouts I did a good job of showing how I can contribute to an NBA team, and now I’m excited for another chance to do so.”
“I’ve definitely grown and improved a lot over this offseason, so I can’t wait to get into camp and Summer League and have a chance to compete.”
Bannan and the Clippers begin their Summer League campaign in Las Vegas against the Denver Nuggets this Saturday 13 July at 12pm AEST.
