The Brisbane Bullets have secured American import Nate Hinton for Hungry Jack's NBL27, pending NBL approval.
One of the NBA G League's premier two-way wings, Hinton arrives in Brisbane after a standout season with the Memphis Hustle.
He averaged 18.0 points, 7.6 rebounds, 3.2 assists and a league-leading 2.5 steals per game in the regular season, proving his effectiveness on both ends whilst building on NBA G League All-Defensive First Team honours earned with the Rio Grande Valley Vipers in 2023–24.
The 27-year-old also brings valuable NBA experience, having spent time with the Dallas Mavericks, Indiana Pacers and Houston Rockets.
His international résumé further strengthens the Bullets, with appearances for the United States in FIBA qualifying windows and a run to the Basketball Bundesliga (BBL) Finals with German club Ratiopharm Ulm in 2025.
Hinton said the opportunity to work with Head Coach Will Weaver and join a Bullets program on the rise made Brisbane the right destination for the next stage of his career.
"I'm excited to be joining Brisbane and competing in one of the best leagues outside the NBA," he said.
"Everything I know about Coach Weaver, the organisation and the direction of the club made this an opportunity I wanted to be part of.
"I'll bring energy, toughness and a team-first mentality every time I step on the floor. I want to help build a team that our members and fans are proud to get behind."
Head Coach and President of Basketball Operations, Will Weaver, believes Hinton’s competitiveness and two-way impact make him an important addition to the Bullets.
“I am excited for our fans to enjoy the relentless energy Nate brings every time he steps on the floor,” Weaver said.
“Where Nate goes, wins follow and I believe he is primed for a career year.
“Like Arnas Veliçka, he believes Brisbane is the right place for him to get to the very top, and that's exactly the type of ambitious competitor we want in our program.”
Hinton's signing leaves one import spot and one local spot open on the Bullets’ NBL27 roster.
