The NBL has today announced the schedule for the NBL Cup to be played as part of the Hungry Jack’s NBL season.
36 games will be played as part of a Melbourne Hub, with the Bullets to take on each NBL club as part of the month-long competition.
Brisbane will head to Melbourne on Tuesday 16 February, play eight games and then return home on Sunday 14 March.
GM of Basketball Sam Mackinnon believes the concept and competition will be good for the league.
“In the world we live in at present, the NBL Cup is a great idea that gives the competition the ability to be in one place and play games without having the external factors at play,” Mackinnon said.
“The introduction of the NBL Cup also gives every club an extra incentive to perform in every match, and the fact all your points also go to the season proper will keep the entire competition flowing.”
