Bullets to start “focused” against Phoenix

Brisbane Bullets star Robert Franks says the team will be “ready” and “focused” from the opening tip against the South East Melbourne Phoenix.
A slow start hindered the Bullets last week, as they fell into a 26-13 hole against New Zealand after the first quarter.
While the club fought back valiantly and had a chance to steal the victory late, the deficit was too much to overcome.
With the second placed Phoenix visiting Nissan Arena this Saturday night, Franks has stressed the importance of being switched on immediately.
“It’s another great challenge just to see where we are at and compete at a high level. I think we are going to be ready, I think we are going to come in focused,” Franks said.
Franks has been a shining light this season, establishing himself as a key cog for James Duncan’s squad, averaging 19.4 points and 9.6 rebounds per game.
However, the 25-year-old is expecting more from himself as the Bullets search for their third win of the campaign this weekend.
“I wouldn’t say happy. I think there is a lot of improvement (to come) from me and my teammates. It is a good start, but I’m definitely not satisfied and more than capable to get more,” Franks said.
Tip-off between Brisbane and South East Melbourne is set for 4:30pm local time on Saturday at Nissan Arena.
