The NBL have today confirmed the official tip-off times for the first five rounds of the Hungry Jack’s NBL season.
The Brisbane Bullets will commence their season on Saturday 16 January with the Sunshine Stoush against the Cairns Taipans at Nissan Arena, with tip-off at 7:00pm.
It’s back-to-back home games to start NBL21 with the South East Melbourne Phoenix then coming to town for a 6:30pm start on Thursday 21 January.
The Bullets will then head south to Victoria for their second clash with the Phoenix in three days, taking them on at 4:00pm on Sunday 24 January.
It’s then back to Queensland with three home matches in a row, the first being the Sydney Kings blockbuster on Australia Day at 2:00pm, the second four days later on Saturday 30 January against The Hawks at 7:00pm and then the Adelaide 36ers on Thursday 4 February at 6:30pm.
A quick trip to Melbourne on Sunday 7 February will see the Bullets take on Melbourne United at 2:00pm.
With the schedule as it stands, the final match locked in from the NBL will see the Perth Wildcats visit Nissan Arena for a 7:00pm clash on Saturday 13 February.
CEO Peter McLennan is happy with the outcome and is looking forward to seeing Nissan Arena full of Bullets members and fans from 16 January.
“In what has been an incredibly long offseason for everyone, it’s so exciting to have the schedule released so we can look forward to playing again.”
“Our home schedule is extremely friendly and caters for all people of all ages,” McLennan said.
“There are the Saturday night games for the young at heart, the Australia Day 2:00pm blockbuster and then some midweek games that suit everyone with it being school holidays throughout January.
“The atmosphere created by our wonderful members and fans really hit home towards the end of last season and for those that were there would agree the noise coming from the stands was amazing, I know the players and coaches felt it on-court. We’re excited to see that momentum continue from Round 1 against the Taipans.”
