New import Vic Law pulled on the Bullets jersey for the first time yesterday as part of the 96-90 pre-season victory over the Perth Wildcats and whilst he admitted he was stiff and sore after the game, he knows it’ll be all worth it in the long run.
The Bullets led at every break during the match with Law and fellow import Orlando Johnson having their first game time against an NBL opposition.
“I’m a little sore but it’s a good pain and good to shake the rust off,” Law said. "It’ll be a long cold tub after the game.”
The 25-year-old has been in the country for just over a month and whilst he impressed throughout, he knows there is room for improvement.
“I think I could’ve played a lot better but that’s the beauty of it, there’s always another game, there’s always room for improvement.
“I think we've got a lot of good guys on the team that’ll help me be better. I’m excited for when the season finally kicks off.”
Law formed part of the starting-five for the game and led the team scoring with 18 points but was quick to point out the support he has been getting from two experienced campaigners in Jason Cadee and Nathan Sobey.
“For sure,” Law said on the education the pair are giving him.
“They definitely gave me a few good open looks and I like the flow of their game in offence. I’m thankful for them and thankful they keep leading me.”

18 – Vic Law
16 – Nathan Sobey
