Nathan Sobey wins Leroy Loggins MVP Award

Brisbane Bullets Guard Nathan Sobey has tonight taken home the Leroy Loggins MVP Award in front of 200 guests, at The Grove in Brisbane.
Bullets club legend, Loggins, was on hand to present the MVP award to Sobey after what was a stellar season.
The Warnambool-product averaged 21.06 points for the season and finished as the NBL’s leading scorer, with 758 points for the season. The 30-year-old also shot 46% from the field, averaged 4.94 rebounds per game and 4.75 assists per game.
The Members had their say and they couldn’t go past Sobey who polled more than 80% of the votes, handing him his second award of the evening.
Veteran Jason Cadee received the vote of his fellow team members, being awarded the Players Player Award for his consistent effort and leadership throughout NBL21.
Centre Matt Hodgson topped off his year by winning the Defensive Player of the Year after a consistent season where he averaged 6.94 rebounds and 1.28 blocks per game.
Up-and-coming star Tamuri Wigness topped off a breakout season by being awarded the Young Player of the Year. The 19-year-old has been rewarded for his year by also being selected in the Under-19s Emus team that will head to Latvia to compete in the World Cup.
Team Operations Manager, Steve Catlin was presented with the Narelle Kelly Award for Outstanding Contribution for living by the Bullets values in everything that they do. He has continually made sacrifices to support colleagues in everything he has done and represents the Bullets brand with the highest integrity.
