The third round of the Hungry Jack’s NBL season has today been confirmed with the Brisbane Bullets to host the Sydney Kings in an Australia Day blockbuster at Nissan Arena, followed by a Sunshine Stoush clash against the Cairns Taipans on Saturday 30 January.
The Australia Day fixture against last year’s Minor Premiers will be played at the family-friendly time of 2:00pm. The Bullets will host the only live sporting event in Brisbane on the public holiday and are encouraging everyone to come along and enjoy all the action.
Cairns will travel down to Queensland’s capital for the Saturday fixture, with tip-off at 4:30pm at Nissan Arena.
CEO Peter McLennan is excited about the two scheduled games.
“Hosting the Sydney Kings on Australia Day is something that the city of Brisbane should be excited about,” McLennan said.
“It’s the only live sport on in the city and Australia Day is an occasion that everyone loves to celebrate. If you are yet to see a Bullets home game live this is a great opportunity for this blockbuster to be your first.
“Backing it up with Cairns coming to town is also a plus for our members and corporate partners. Everyone loves a derby and it’s certainly that with the two Queensland teams battling it out.”
Tickets are currently on-sale for both games here.
Details for the two scheduled games are as follows:
Tuesday 26 January

2:00pm (QLD time)

Saturday 30 January
