The NBL have today announced a number of changes to Round 12 and 13 of the competition that will now see the Brisbane Bullets play away from home. The NBL have also confirmed Round 14 and 15 of the season.
Games originally scheduled against the Perth Wildcats (April 5) and Melbourne United (April 12) have now been postponed with new games now confirmed.
The Bullets will now play a block of away games, with the team to take on the Sydney Kings (Saturday 3 April), Illawarra Hawks (Wednesday 7 April), Melbourne United (Monday 12 April), New Zealand Breakers (Friday 16 April) and Perth Wildcats (Friday 23 April).
Off the back of the above away games, the Bullets will then return home for an ANZAC Day blockbuster against the South East Melbourne Phoenix, that will tip-off at the family-friendly time of 3pm.
CEO Peter McLennan understands the need for the team to play a number of away games but is looking forward to bringing the team home for ANZAC Day.
“A number of clubs have had to deal with different things during this season and now unfortunately it’s our turn,” McLennan said.
“Whilst it’s not ideal that the team will be playing a large number of away games during this next period, we understand that it needs to be done to ensure the season keeps rolling.
“First and foremost the health and safety of everyone in Brisbane is paramount and we wish everyone well during this period.
“We look forward to bringing the team home for an ANZAC Day blockbuster against the Phoenix that will provide entertainment for the whole family. We’ll also hold an ANZAC Day service prior to the game to acknowledge and commemorate those who served in all wars, conflicts and peacekeeping operations.”
The club will be in correspondence with corporate partners and members in the near future in relation to how to redeem tickets for the ANZAC Day game.
All ticket purchasers that currently hold a ticket for the originally scheduled games against Perth Wildcats or Melbourne United will be contacted directly via email by Ticketek shortly.
Tickets for the ANZAC Day game will go on sale in the near future, with all information to be circulated via the club’s social media channels.
