Pero Cameron will join the Brisbane Bullets as an Assistant Coach for the remainder of the NBL23 season.

Pero has a wealth of experience both as a coach and player both within Australia, New Zealand and Internationally.
He has been on the New Zealand Men’s National team coaching staff for eleven years and was named Head Coach of the Tall Blacks in 2021. He also has experience coaching in the NBL, NZNBL and Queensland Basketball League.
As a player, Cameron represented New Zealand for a number of years, captaining the team at two Summer Olympic Games (Sydney 2000 and Athens 2004) and three FIBA World Cups (2002, 2006 and 2010). Pero is the only New Zealand National to be inducted into the FIBA Hall of Fame.
General Manager of Basketball, Sam Mackinnon welcomed Pero to the Club.
“Pero’s basketball experience and acumen will be a great addition to our coaching group,” Mackinnon said.
Hostplus Head Coach Greg Vanderjagt is looking forward to working with Pero.
“Pero is an incredibly well respected individual in the basketball world. His experience and knowledge will be a great asset to the team moving forward. I’m excited to work with Pero for the remainder of the season and have no doubt he will have a positive impact on the group,” Vanderjagt added.
Pero will join the coaching staff against the Perth Wildcats at Nissan Arena tonight.
